ABOUT the
PAIN MANAGEMENT LEGAL DEFENSE TRUST
The Pain
Management Legal Defense Trust is a fund set up exclusively to support Dr.
William Hurwitz’s appeal and defense. It is managed by the Hurwitz Family and is
not linked to any organization or group. Funds received will be used for legal
fees and expenses incurred in the appeals process. The process includes appeals
in the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and possibly in the Supreme Court, as
well as a new trial in the event that a successful appeal results in a remand of
the case to the trial court. The fund will be in existence until all appeals are
exhausted, or until the conviction is overturned without remand.
