Friends, The reporting in New Orleans was less than stellar. The reporters continued to take the shape and substance of their reports from the government even after it had been pointed out to them that to do so was to fail to do their job. In addition to Frank Fisher, Tom Stinson testified as did David Brushwood. It is also my understanding that Dr. Hope Ewing testified for the prosecution, having been flown in to say that she rejected a job offer at the clinics in question because they didn't do her level of medicine. One hopes that she was somehow coerced into doing this and did not come and try to help these prosecutors convict these innocent women of her own volition. I pray that the jury figures out that the clinics were delivering much needed care to thousands of people. These lawyers did a terrific job and the
government's case, as always, was nothing more than smear. [END] | |||||||||||||||||
