Netty experiences that wonderful Naltrexone peacefulness of not neeeding...  - mm@maelstrom.stjohns.edu - 8/20/2001

I just wanted to blow my own horn and let you know that I just did something I would never have thought possible before starting Naltrexone, and that I'm giddy with that realization!

My husband and I have some friends who are heavy beer drinkers (they brew their own), with whom I've always drunk too much. Every year, they seek out brew fests around the nation to imbibe. This year, they're coming to see us in Tucson, and they rightly expect I'll be joining them, while my tee totaling husband does the chauffeuring.

As I read the e-mail my friend sent (about all the breweries and brew pubs they were going to hit), I was astonished to realize I don't want to take part in the event. The thought of drinking beer all day does nothing for me, and I don't want to spend my money on a day that's going to do nothing for me!

All I can say about that fact is -- WOW!!! So, I'm planning to be a great hostess and baby-sit all the girls so my friends can enjoy their grown-up day in sunny Tucson. PRAISE BE TO NALTREXONE!
